Can I adjust my mid-roll placements?

We’d love to help you find the best placement in your episodes for your mid-rolls! When you enable Buzzsprout Ads or add Dynamic Content mid-rolls, we will automatically find the best insertion points in your episodes. But you can review, adjust, delete, and add new placements at any time. We'll show you how!
 
To view and make edits to your placements, click on the episode from your Episodes page. The Mid-Roll Placements option will be on the right-hand side of the screen.
Note: This option will only show if you’ve enabled Buzzsprout Ads or added a mid-roll to your Dynamic Content page. 

We have a great way for you to create new placements for your mid-rolls! Select Create New Placement, scroll through the episode player until you find the perfect spot, and click Create. Once you're happy with your placements, click Done—Back to Episode!

Each episode will have a placement range of how often, early, and late the placements can be. For example, for the specific episode in the screenshot, “Placements must be at least 6 minutes apart and fall between 5:34 and 22:19.” This will be visible right below the player and vary based on individual episodes.  

In some cases, you may find that a mid-roll is placed in a less-than-desirable spot in your episode or you may want to keep an episode mid-roll-free! Removing these placements is really simple, too. 

On the Mid-Roll Placements page, you can turn off all mid-rolls or remove specific insertion points. Simply click the toggle icon to turn off the ads in that episode, or uncheck the mid-roll you want to remove.

If you’re using mid-rolls for Buzzsprout Ads, we will automatically find ideal mid-roll placements for your first 25 episodes that are longer than 23 minutes. But, you may decide to run ads on more episodes! Just go to the episode where you want to include ads and click Mid-Roll Placements on the right side of the page. Then you can click the toggle to allow ads on that episode and we will begin inserting them for you.
